Hi Guys!

I want to start this post off with a quote that a friend of mine posted on Facebook a couple days ago.

“On this path no effort is wasted,
no gain is ever reversed;
even a little of this practice
will shelter you from great sorrow.”
Bhagavad Gita 2:40

This quote has become part of my daily thought. It has become something that I have been trying to remind myself of because I tend to be “too” hard on myself at times.

It has been a little over two months that I have taken up the practice of Yoga.

Over the years I have tried to take up yoga, but it has always been an EPIC fail!

(One time, my really good friend and I decided to take a yoga class together and well, we got kicked out and were told to never go back!)

…Still an epic fail but not an EPIC fail! lol Baby steps…Fist comes like, then comes like like, then comes LOVE! I have enter the stage of LOVE….which by the way, I never thought it would happen!

Something was different about this attempt to turn yoga into a constant in my life. I don’t know if it was the amazing energy of the instructor that I met at my gym who walks into every class with this glow and warm embrace that validates your existence (which is what every person on this planet seeks: validation.) or if I was finally ready to take in what the practice of yoga had to offer me.

Regardless of how old one is, I believe that at some point (if not many points) of their lives, they reach a part of their life where they are in need of something more. Where they start saying and asking things like , “there has to be more out there!” or “what the hell am I doing with my life?!” or even “where do I begin to…”  and along the way of trying to answer these questions and fill in the blanks, so many things happen.

During the search you tend to go a little crazy and get even more stressed than needed and then you stop….take a minute to breathe and think “well shit!”…or at least I did.

For a majority of my life, I spent my time comparing myself to others and one day I woke up and I was like “Fuck it! It is what is and I am who I am and this is probably who I will be for the rest of my life!”

It has been some time since that day and since then I have been trying to figure things out…and to be honest, trying to figure things out has been a maddening experience.

Thankfully, through the practice of yoga and this quote :

“On this path no effort is wasted,
no gain is ever reversed;
even a little of this practice
will shelter you from great sorrow.”
Bhagavad Gita 2:40

…I have found some calm. I am beginning to learn and be okay with the fact that everyday is just a small piece that is helping put together the bigger picture. The fact that I am able to wake up in the morning and take one breath, that is enough…I will be and am enough.

In the new year, I hope that everyone in the world finds their calm…their strength and worthiness…I have been fortunate to find mine and what I have found is what I wish for the world…

Until next time, remember that you’re enough!

Oh and stay classy and fabulous!

Advertisements Say Whaaa?

Happy New Year!!!!

I know it’s been quite some time since I’ve written, but I’ve had a very busy few weeks. The week before NYE was super busy because I was prepping to go out of town and then I was out of town and well, that’s just a whole another story all in itself! Let’s just say, it was crazy!!!

I went to San Diego with my best friend and it was our first time celebrating NYE together. Definitely one for the books.

We stayed at the Hardrock Hotel in Downtown San Diego and I honestly can’t wait to go back next year…Hopefully!

I always get super excited for New Years, especially, when I have plans. Since this year I had solid plans to celebrate, I wanted to step out of my regular makeup routine and do something a little different.

This year, I decided to do a blue smokey eye. Since I decided to do a dark eye, I kept my face simple and my lips a nude pink.

I was trying to mimic this look…it didn’t come out quite like this in the picture cause I’m pretty sure the picture below used a ton of photo enhancements, but nonetheless, I still love how mine came out.

Cobalt Blue Smokey Eye

Here is a picture of my look:

I kept my hair simple and wavy…towards the end of the night when it was no longer holding it’s “look”, I threw it up into a simple ponytail. Thank god the party we were at was our hotel because all I had to do was run up to get some hairspray and I was set!

I’m curious to know about your NYE plans and about the look you went for. Don’t be shy to post in the comments!

Until next time…

Stay classy and fabulous!

Also, don’t forget to share with me what you did for NYE 2014!

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m super excited about New Year’s Eve! It’s all I have been thinking about since we entered the month of December!

I have been searching the malls for the ideas of what to wear and I finally narrowed it down to a couple dresses and a skirt and top combo…

When I think of NYE, I think of SPARKLES and nonstop dancing and being surrounded by those whom you love more! I’m so excited because this year, I get to sparkle and dance and ring in the year with my best friend and partner in crime!

I would love to know what all of you lovelies are up to for NYE 2014, but first, let’s talk make up and outfits!

Now that my hair is back to dark, I’m intrigued to try different shadow colors that I usually wouldn’t have even looked at.

Cobalt Blue Smokey Eye

I found this look awhile back and fell in love with it! It’s a cobalt blue smokey eye! It’s the perfect look that could be complimented with a soft pink blush and a soft pink lip. Anything past soft, might look like a train wreck. Nevertheless, I encourage you to try out different shades until you find one that compliments the shade of blue you are using.

Russian Red Lipstick

This is another one of the looks that I came across and absolutely ADORE! it is the perfect amount of sparkle for NYE and it compliments just about any outfit you decide to wear. When I’m not sure of what I will be wearing, I usually tend to stick to browns and golds on my eyes because I find it a little more easier to switch up the look.

Smokey Emerald Green Eyes

To me, this look has exotic all over it! It’s a beautiful way to use green shadow. Although, I wouldn’t be able to pull this look off because I’m not as pale as the girl in the photo, I still think it’s a hot look!

Once the face has been applied, it’s time to figure out to wear!

Finding something to wear is always so stressful! lol I mean, you have this thought/look in your head and you think you have it in your closest and either you don’t have it, or it just looks weird! So annoying!

Hopefully, we can avoid the stress of finding an outfit for NYE!

As you know by now, I love nothing more than sequence and glitter. Therefore, it is only natural that I pick the most sparkly options. Here are two of my favorite outfits that I saw online.

First Pick:

A gold Sequin Motif Mini Skirt from Nordstrom. Retail value: $44.00

Not only do i love the skirt by itself, I also love the whole outfit. Fitted skirts like this, is a really nice was to outline your curves. If you got them, flaunt them!

Lily White Sequin Motif Miniskirt (Juniors)

Second Pick:

An Embellished LBD from Retails Price: $52

This is the perfect dress for someone who is a little shy when it comes to sparkles.

When all else fails…

In my book, you can’t go wrong with a pair of nice black leggings, black top, and sexy black pumps. All black is my go-to look when all else fails. You really can’t mess it up and it’s the perfect way to play around with accessories.

As fun as it is to dress up and get dolled up, it tends to get overwhelming sometimes when you’re trying make sure everything looks perfect. However, it is important to remember that beauty is mostly found in the imperfections!

I hope these looks have helped shed some light on some ideas for you NYE plans. Don’t be afraid to think out of the box and just let loose!

I wish you all a very Happy New Year and until next time, keep it classy and fabulous!

I found a link to a really awesome makeup tutorial by iMacUrFace on YouTube. It’s perfect for NYE!

So I just wanted to post a quick update to my previous post “Oh!Snap!”…

I ended up going to get my hair fixed and the color came out really nicely. Unfortunately, we had to get rid of the highlights because they just could be savaged due to the color…Had we tried a different level of toner, it just wouldn’t have worked…

Instead, we mixed three different shades of brown and it came out to a really pretty brunette color. Still adjusting to the color, but I like it!

After a few washes, my highlights will start to subtly show and it’ll look very natural.

Just a side note, for anyone who is looking to do highlights, if you use bleach instead of color to highlight your hair, you’re kind of stuck with it until your hair grows out. Even if you color over it, as the color fades, your highlights will begin to show!

A quick update is all I have time for today.

Keep checking back. At some point this week I will be posting fashion and makeup ideas for NYE 2014!

Until next time, keep it classy and fabulous!

Oh! Snap!

Hello Lovelies!

I know I have been MIA for a little bit, but time has been non-existing lately. I was sick for a week and then I had finals for a week and now I’m having a dramatic hair experience!!!

I finally made a decision as in to what I wanted to do with my hair and I decided that I wanted to maintain my beautiful highlights. I went Monday night to get my roots done and let’s just say that everything has been going down hill from there!

The lady who did my hair last time really messed up this time! She used the wrong toner the first time and I went back last night so she could fix it and she made it worse…My hair is now a Grey-ish Blonde…

To give you an idea as to what Grey-ish Blonde looks like, imagine an older lady who is a natural blonde and is beginning to grey!

It is safe to say that I sobbed for a good hour after I got home last night…I’m going to someone else today to see what can be done.

Hopefully, we’ll be able to save my highlights and return them to the gorgeousness it was before and I won’t have to go back to dark…I don’t remember the last time I was a brunette…

This was back in 2011. I had just discovered box coloring and the art of changing your hair every time you were heart broken! I loved it, but once you go light, it’s really hair to go back to dark.

This was taken in May. I loved it and it got even lighter in a faded way as time went on…

(p.s. the lipstick in this picture is MAC’s “Girl About Town” and it is one my favorite lipsticks and it stains so even when it comes off, it doesn’t look like it!)

I just wanted to share with you what has been going on and for now, it is time to get dressed and get this hair fixed!

Until next time, I’d love to know about your worst and best hair dos!

Keep it classy and fabulous!

C’est La Vie!!!!!!!!!!! ♪♫♪♫

Soooooo, I have a new song I’m obsessed with and it just played on my iTunes and it made me so happy that I just HAVE TO write about it! It is called C’est La Vie by Khaled! It is the most uplifting, free spirited, make you wanna have a dance party song!

I went to a wedding a couple weeks ago (which by the way was  a stunning wedding! It was at the Century Plaza and I’m pretty sure there were about 700 people….We’re Persian, so that’s a normal amount of people! lol) and I have been obsessed with this song ever since!

Last night was my cousins engagement party (which also was stunning! Not to mention my bride-to-be cousin! So Gorg!). I was having a great time and then the DJ played this song and then I was having a FANTASTIC time! I was walking over to the room with all the fruits and desserts and all of the sudden C’est La Vie came on and I ran to the dance floor like a crazy person!!

This song makes me so happy and with finals week starting and the stress of everyday life, I wanted to share a song, that I hope, makes you just as happy as it makes me!

I also would love to know what you’re favorite song is and the story behind it, if any!

There is nothing in the world like music. It’s the one thing that everyone one in the world

Until next time, set your soul free and just dance to music that makes YOU happy!

“Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything.”

Stay classy and fabulous!

Vroom, Vroom, VROOM!!!

So…last night I went to the LA Auto Show  at the Convention Center in Downtown Los Angeles. I went with two of my best gals and it was kind of a last minute adventure and to be honest…I’m so glad we went!

photo 5

It is safe to say that I know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about cars…except that I like my car to be black on black and for it so make the  “vroom, vroom” sound!!!

I don’t think I have enough words to express how amazing the experience was. I mean, imagine going to a jewelry show (as my gal pal put it) with all real diamonds! As girls, we’d probably pass out before we even step foot inside the convention center!

For someone who knows absolutely nothing about cars, I was pretty damn excited to be there. I mean when I walked in, I was in awe! The bright lights and all these cars! My first thought was, “Wow!”. My second thought was, “I need to strike gold and make billions!”. My last thought was, “I’ll take one of each!!!!!!”

The car selections went from Toyotas to Bentlys with a few custom cars! I took so many photos that I can’t wait to share with you guys!

Drum roll, please!!!

photo 1

These are the beautiful Bentlys! I want one of each…With a driver because I’m fabulous! lol

photo 3

This is the Mercedes Benz and I have named it the Bat Mobile! I don’t remember the model name but I do remember that it said “AMG” on the display…Basically, it makes a very loud VROOM VROOM VROOM sound! Me want!!!

photo 4

And then I saw this…MATTE PINK FERRARI! Excuse me while I pick myself off the floor…

I nearly passed out seeing this! I mean…the beauty of it! The fact that it was MATTE PINK was enough for me to yell out “SOLD!!!”!

Oh oh oh!!! I almost forgot! Ranger Rover had a section there as well and they had this car on display…Dude!!! It was white with camel interior. The seats were COUCHES!!! The back seats reclined and they had TVs AND TABLES!!! Say whaaaaaaaaa!!!! I’ll take TWO of those! haha

Unfortunately, last night was the last day of the Auto Show. 😦 I can’t wait until next year….I wanna go again and I hope these pictures are enough to convince you to go too! 😛

If you have a favorite car or have seen a totally awesome car, I’d like to hear about it! Don’t be shy and post away in the comment box down below!

Until next time…

Stay classy and fabulous!
